Tina has been busy crafting yet another scintillating read.
MY LIVING NIGHTMARE (by Tina)
Me and my brother had slept alone for the first time in the new flat. We lived on the top floor of the building (the 13th floor).
Mum and dad had gone out to meet Lee, my dad’s soon to be new boss. I decided to put William to sleep early that night so that I could have a peaceful night chatting to my friend and watching television without having to change the channel because something inappropriate came on the TV.
Almost immediately after he shut his eyes, I sat down on my inflatable sofa and watched a movie called 'VENDREDI 13' (Friday the 13th) when all of a sudden I felt an arctic breeze biting my skin like a hell hound.
I slowly turned around but nothing was there. I was sure that I had latched the door and sealed all the windows before double checking.Iit felt as if someone had been breathing icy cold blasts on my neck. Before I could get to my feet, the lights started to flicker. Once, twice... then darkness roamed the room. I heard a soft voice whispering... "good now we can begin..."

A terrifying tale indeed...
Do not miss this wonderfully creepy tale from Nejla!
I really love the way she has used a few highly effective short sentences to add to the suspense. Can you spot them? I also really like the attention to detail in describing the setting. For example '... with a soft breeze flowing through...'.
Enough of my yakkin'. Here it is:
TATTERED NOTE (by Nejla)
'Fear me,
Hear me ,
But do not seek me,
For there’s no need,
I will seek you'
I cringed as I read the note and every now and then checking my surroundings. Odd. I could have sworn I had locked my apartment before I left. Yet when I came back my door was wide open with a soft breeze flowing through. That was when I had found the weird tattered note lying around.
Nothing was touched, everything exactly where I had left it. Except my dog, Jamie, looked traumatized almost. I shrugged and just thought it a coincidence; I decided to go bed early that night. Just as I was about to turn off the lamp, I saw a dark eerie-looking shape zoom past. I saw a glimpse of the mysterious shape, it was a figure I realized. I blinked. It was gone. I rubbed my eyes... nothing.
I blamed my lack of sleeping these days, and just for extra precautions I latched the windows and locked my bedroom door. I tightly tucked myself in bed and reached over and turned the lamp off. Surely nothing could get me, I was safely locked up in my bedroom.
How wrong I was...!!!

A monstrously malevolent mystery
Omaima and Nejla teamed up in Homework Club to send in this terrifying poem. I love the powerful verbs that they have used. Any words you don't yet know the meaning of? Look them up on google by typing 'define:' and then the word. Anyway, time to be scared...
I AM.... (by Omaima and Nejla)
I haunt you in the night
I come into your dreams
I lurk in the darkness
From where I stand
Casting shadows from hell.
I hold a gateway to your worst fantasy
You see no more than a watery gloomy shape flickering about
I am the villain and you are the hero
Surely you will not succeed.
I am the curse that everyone abhores
The headlights struggle as I flaunt across the road
You cringe and shiver as I breathe down your neck
You don't see me but I certainly see you
I am a mischevious glint
No! something vastly sinister.
You see a glimpse of me and by no means scream your heart out
And then and only then do I come out of the everlasting shadows
I trap you as you frantically try to escape
I take your soul but not entirely.
I am ... you'll never know! Ha ha ha!!!

Well done Year 6!
Hello Year 6,
Not sure if you remember me from last year but I remember being impressed by your writing last year. Think all these posts are great and definitely very scary. Loved all the hidden voices like Nathalia's 'soft voice' and Khaleder's 'whisper.' Great that you inspired Michael Rosen to write a poem.
Well done Year 6 - keep going. If I can't sleep tonight, I'll blame you!

Scintillating suspense!
Natalia has created a superb tale with a great title...
13th FLOOR (by Natalia)
The phone rang. "Hello?" said Sam.
"Please help me, I'm trapped in the 13th floor!" a rear soft voice whispered mournfully.
Sam asked Kelly if there was a 13th floor. Kelly was helping Sam to get used to the flat.
"Yes there is a 13th floor, but it is locked."
"Why?"
Kelly did not answer. It seemed like she was trying to hide something. All she said was "Don't even try to get there."
Sam woke up later that night. Her throat was dry, so she took the elevator down to get a cup of water. But something was wrong. The elevator was going UP! Then it stopped. "First floor". It surely wasn't the first floor. Everything was old and covered with dust, the walls were rusty, the doors creaked....IT WAS THE
13th FLOOR!!
Sam took her oportunity to see if it was true that someone was trapped. There it was again: "Please help me!" Somewhere a phone was ringing. She slowly walked to where the sound had come from. A room door swung open. A dark shadow shifted. All she could hear was her beating heart and her breathing. The door swung back again, too quickly. Something had to be behind it. She shivered with fright as she nerviously walked in.
BANG!! The door closed. She jumped and her eyes went wide open when she saw it.
"Good. Now no-one can disturb us," said the soft voice...

Uh oh... don't answer the phone!
A deeply disturbing yarn crafted by Khaledur:
YOU CAN RUN, BUT YOU CAN'T HIDE! (by Khaledur)
It was dark. I was in the house watching television when suddenly I heard something. I looked around nervously. There was nothing. Then as soon as I was going to take a deep breath, the phone rang. I picked it up and there was a strange voice which said, "They're coming... they're coming, they're coming for you! They're coming. There's nothing you can do!"
Then just as I was about to put the phone down, there was a whisper: "WE ARE COMING... WE ARE COMING WITH OUR MOUTHS OPEN WIDE. WE ARE COMING, WE ARE COMING. YOU CAN RUN BUT YOU CAN'T HIDE!"
I put the phone down. My doorbell rang DING DONG.......

Dare you believe Abu's terrifying tale?
THE MAN WHO DIDN'T BELIEVE IN GHOSTS (by Abu)
A man lived in a haunted house by himself. All of a sudden, the chair started rocking. "What is that?" screeched the man. But nobody answered.
It was dark, the man wanted to sleep so he looked under the bed but nothing was there. He looked in the mirror and a nasty picture of a ghost appeared. The man bellowed "Agh! I have to call 999!" Before he could the ghost grabbed him on his forehead...

Don't go near the mirror!
Rabbi has sent in an eerie riddle...
DEATH TILL US BOTH (by Rabbi)
We sleep. Most stay awake, but there is one who still roams the night in search for souls... maybe even for yours! You shall never see her by the naked eye, but you might in the mirror! Who could this be? Take a look for yourself...

Mysterious musings from Rabbitz123!
As the night dawns we all sleep but what do we seek?
Here is a boy who goes to the mirror to see if the story is true.
The story of Bloody Mary is as it seems!

And now some spooky but anonymous contributions (don't forget to type your name at the end of your post!)
Don't smile,
Don't smile,
I can recognise you.
You dont want that!
Before i shiver goodness around you.
My heart is racing
My feet are shivering
I touch the floor
grrracccc
BOOOO!
I see you but you don't see me.
I will jump in your nightmares!
And turn it all around
Think of me.
Think of me.
what a horrible... YOU'LL SEE!

A heinously hideous horror poem from Michael Rosen!
Michael Rosen has been reading the amazing posts that Year 6 have sent in so far and was inspired to write this terrifying poem in response... (WARNING: Do not read just before bed time!)
I was asleep.
I was awake.
I stared.
It was dark.
I looked.
I saw nothing.
I felt cold.
I breathed.
I heard my breathing.
I heard my breathing in my mouth
I heard my breathing in the room.
The room was getting smaller.
The walls were getting nearer.
The ceiling was coming down towards me.
The walls were getting nearer
The room was getting smaller.
I couldn't move.
It was dark.
It was darker.
The breathing came back at me off the walls.
The breathing came back at me off the ceiling.
The wall was a box.
I was in the box.
The walls reached me and stopped.
The ceiling reached me and stopped.
I am in a box.
I am in the box.
I am in the box.
I am in the box.

I was asleep.
I was awake.

A nail-biting narrative
Tina has sent in a short excerpt from a story with her in it!
TINA'S TORTURE by Tina
Suddenly Tina heard a noise. She turned around, only to find that behind her was a chilling graveyard. Aaagh! She screamed as two bony hands shot out and grabbed her. Within a second, she found herself in rotting skulls and decomposing bones.
What happens next is all in your mind...

Two more decidedly dark ditties...
Just submitted by Tina, a positively terrifying poem. Even the dead don't escape the creepy crawlers in this one!
CREEPY CRAWLERS by Tina
My bones rattling
My teeth grinding
My heart pounding
The tree limbs thumping
The world spinning
Everything is in movement
And all u can think about
Is what may be in the dark
Little creatures so small and dark
Big Ole creatures so crazy and strong
And the one creature that runs through
You like it causes pain throughout your
Whole entire body
Creepy Crawlers still alive
Back to haunt the dead or live
And now will get u whether not
You're alive...
by Tina
And another contribution from Piotr - this one positively vampiric!
BLOOD by Piotr
Blood, blood, is all I see,
Blood, blood is within me,
All I feel, touch,
I Can't cope its all to much.
Bang, bang, from the door,
the vibration drips blood on the floor,
Why would i want more,?

DARKENED ROOMS by John
Darkened rooms are filled with horror children! Dream of me and be scared...
fear me... hear me...
but do not scream
for I am the grim reaper
ha ha haa

I AM SIN by John
Scary thougtshave come to mind,
Children are snatched at night,
Riots of monsters appear in your dreams,
Emotions cry out to you.
As you know, hide and run!
My jar fills with broken lives.
I am evil. I am grim...call me sin.

YOU KNOW WHO! by Piotr and Khaledur
It was dark in the night,
It would give you a fright,
As 'they' hold you tight.
And you know I'm right!
There in the dark,
You will hear a loud bark,
As the hellhounds bite.
When you turn on the light.
As you wake up,
Your body will shake and jump,
As they see you,
Not one but two
They're now after YOU!
Now this is no fairy,
It's actually quite scary,
You know who I'm talking about?
BLOODY MARY!

THE BONY HAND OF HELL by Hallie
Mum? Mum, are you there?
That dreadful thought remains
Somewhere.
Running through the graveyard still trying to find thee,
Looking slowly behind me.
A long bony finger pointing at me while casting a shadow on the wall back to me.
Bouncing thoughts surrounding me,
Shadows casting everywhere but me.
Saying my last words and regrets before getting dragged down...
Under
Down under there!
Here they are... if you dare read them!
